Aloha friends, I think it’s time to tell you all a little about myself. Over the last year and a half I have been on the adventure to pursue my passion and love for home decor. It has been a part of my life for so long and it wasn’t until I turned 30 that I decided now is the time to take this passion to the next level. Sharing who I am with the world is a bit scary, but I want my clients to feel as though they can relate to me and enjoy my quirks because those weird and fun things shape who I am.

  1. What is your favourite colour?

I absolutely love anything and everything blush pink. It’s soft and pretty and makes me feel happy.

  2. Who is your design icon and why?

Well, this one is easy. Jillian Harris, duh! I have been the biggest fan of her for like, ever. I love her for more than one reason, but the biggest is that she is so relatable. I find as humans we can get lost in the Instagram world and Jillian is so honest and real. Her design style is clean, fresh, contemporary and she always finds a way to bring in high end touches. Her fashion sense is adorable and her personality reminds me of myself. Also, she is freaking Canadian guys. She has built a kick ass team of gals and that in itself is inspirational.

  3. Why do you love interior decorating and how did you get into it?

When I was a young girl, I had this fascination with changing my bedroom around. I would come home from school and move all of my furniture out into the hallway, sometimes I had to put my back up against the wall and push my dresser with my feet with all my skinny leg might just to move it a few inches. I used to draw pictures of floor plans and find the best solution or the craziest. I remember once I wanted to take everything out of my closet and put my bed inside, not functional. Also, at a young age I fell in love with the show Trading Spaces. I thought for sure I would be the next Paige and I would marry Ty Pennington. This love only grew as I got older. Working in retail for years, I fell in love with the little things. Whether it was the stitching on a Billabong shirt, or a button on a wallet, I loved how the little things made such a big impact. Your home is were you feel safe and where you make memories. I look back on my childhood and I remember the spaces in my home that made me feel the most safe. Like the basement toy room in the unfinished part of my home, my bedroom that was right beside the chimney and I always thought I would hear Santa, and the beige puffy suede lazy boy my dad had. Those memories are nostalgic and I want to be able to make those memories for people.

  4. What is your dream vacation?

I want to fly to Bali, rent a Jeep and explore. I want to lay on the sand and soak up the sun and listen to the ocean waves. I want to zip line and take a yoga and surf class at The Chill House. Hopefully this can be our honeymoon spot.

  5. What is your favourite room in the house to decorate?

All I want to do is decorate a nursery. I love how fun and whimsical you can be for a little one. But as for favourite space, a living room.

  6. Going out on a Friday night or staying in?

I love a good night out with my gals. I honestly have the best friends and I feel so lucky to have such hilarious, crazy fun and loyal people in my life. But, my hangovers last for about three days now, so stay in with wine and pizza.

  7. Do you have any animals?

I sure do. I have an eight year old Jack Russell Parsons name Scout.

  8. What do you do when no one is watching?

Oh boy, sing and dance! I am all for a morning dance party while I get ready for my day. I also drive back and forth a lot from Cambridge to Sarnia, so I have had my fair share solo country music concerts in my car.

  9. What is your perfect pizza?

Pepperoni, Mushroom, Green Olives and PINEAPPLE!

  10. What is the craziest thing you’ve done?

Well there is a lot of answers for this one but I will make it easy, Sky Diving in Byron Bay, Australia. What a rush!
